Hi Rishaa A verb is a word used to describe an action, state, or occurrence, and forming the main part of the predicate of a sentence. If it expresses an action or a state of being, then it is a verb.
A noun is a word (other than a pronoun) used to identify any of a class of people, places, or things ( common noun ), or to name a particular one of these ( proper noun ). A noun is a word that refers to a thing, a person, an animal, a place, a quality, an idea or an action. If it names something, such as a person, place, thing, or idea, then it is a noun.
