Some people believe that school children should not be given homework by their teachers, whereas others argue that homework plays an important role in the education of children. Discuss both of these views and give your own opinion.

In recent decades, the best way to educate the young people has been receiving a great deal of media attention around the world due to its importance to develop human civilization. Although skeptics support the idea of not giving homework to children due to ít potential benefits, ample evidence suggests that the opposite is true. This essay will support the argument by analyzing the effects of homework on a student's life.

On the one hand, there are some reasons to believe that homework is an unnecessary burden on children. First, besides numerous compulsory subjects children must learn at school, they should have free time for their hobbies. A clear illustration for this is that students who love music can spend their time after stressful hours at school practising playing some instruments instead of doing the homework to develop themselves comprehensively. Secondly, many parents agree that school time is too long for their kid to do further study at home because of their tiredness. VietNam’s students, for example, may go to school all day, from 6.00 a.m to 12 a.m, then continue study between 2.00 p.m to 4.30 p.m, and sometimes they also have to attend some extra-classroom which is started at 5.00 p.m and lasted for 2 hours to prepare for an important exam so after a day of fully studying, they may need a rest to relax.

Nevertheless, in spite of some issues above, it is believed that the merits gained by children doing their homework are definitely profound. The main benefits of homework is that it helps students to review all the lessons and enhances new knowledge about the subjects. In fact, there are only 45 minutes for a lesson at school so that teachers only can provide their students the most basic information about the topic and after finishing the school, students can do the research followed by the teacher’s guide or doing the homework which is provided to remember what is taught. For example, today you study a Literature lesson about a part of a literary work and at home, your teacher request you to find and read all of this to understand fully the situation or if there is a math lesson this morning and now you have to done your homework to consolidate your understanding of the concepts of the topic. In my view, this also develops an independence study habit for the children. Moreover, if the kid is not given the exercise to do at home, they can spend their free time for some worse purpose, especially playing video games. As a result, they can meet up with some mental health problems, decrease motivation and furthermore, they can not focus on their study.

In conclusion, homework certainly has its drawbacks, but I believe that the benefits outweigh them in the long term. Therefore, students, as well as the teacher and their parents, should spend more time doing this better.

I want you to give me some advice to boost my vocabulary too. Thanks in advance

(1) Kind of a confusing sentence.

Some of your sentences are quite long, which make them difficult to read. I would suggest varying up the length so you have a mixture of long and short sentences. Try reading it out aloud and see what you think.
