English Language Schools in the United States

This US section of our Good School Guide has details of over 300 English language schools and university language centers all over the United States of America.

Inclusion in the Guide is by recommendation, and we generally list only those schools which are:

  • Fully accredited by one of the recognised US national accrediting organisations, such as CEA or ACCET.

  • Members of one of the US national professional associations:

    • AAIEP, the American Association of Intensive English Programs;

    • UCIEP, the University Consortium of Intensive English Programs.

How to find a school

There are four ways to search for a school in the Guide:
  1. Keyword Search: use the search box under the US map to enter one or more keywords: all schools in the US section will be searched.

  2. Choose a region to browse an A-Z list of all schools in that region:

    Pacific | Mountain | Plains | Midwest | Northeast | Southeast

    You can also click a region on the US map.

  3. Advanced Search: use this detailed search page to look for particular locations, courses, examinations, facilities or other features.

  4. List all schools: browse the A-Z list of over 300 schools in the United States, with 30 schools listed on each page.
All these options are available in the left side panel on every page of the US section of the Guide.
